Poster Contest:  We got one entrant, Parker Petersen, from Ft. Riley Elementary school and his poster was delivered to the state contest chairman.
Boy Scouts:  On Sunday, 15 February, we presented special medals and certificates of appreciation to 18 new Eagle Scouts at the Baden-Powell Banquet at Pottorff Hall in Manhattan.   This was the first awards banquet held for the new Konza District of the Coronado Area Council, BSA, which is the result of a merger of the former Pawnee and Quivira Districts.

Old Business:
1.    No new information about the Patriot’s Day Parade on 19 April 2009.
2.    We have learned that the inurnment ceremony for Darold A. Dodge will be held later this spring.  Lindgren will check on the family’s wishes with regard to a memorial marker from SAR.

New Business:
1.    We were asked, informally, about the possibility of hosting the 2010 State Convention in
Manhattan, but the consensus of the group was that we lack the necessary available man-power, and that it is already too late to book adequate facilities in Manhattan.

Program: open discussion about recruiting new members.
